人魂の黄泉
YOMI HITODAMA
“Unfortunate” may perhaps be the best way to begin describing the young heiress. Born in the midst of winters grasp, first of the lord and lady Hitodama's children, Yomi has lived a life of seclusion per her family's customs. Believed to be the descendant of an ancient curse, directly linked to it's progenitor by blood, her interaction with the outside world has been limited to that of watching the seasons pass from the lonely confines of her chambers. Now free of her gilded cage, Yomi struggles to find her place in a world she does not fully understand, trying to align the broken pieces of past and present.

Reserved, aloof and soft-spoken are the words most commonly used to describe the wan and willowy Yomi. Ever carrying an aura of indifference about her, she is never too loud; too happy; too sad; too angry. A select few would consider her well-mannered, but most take to calling her distant and strange.« voice »

ROLEPLAY HOOKS
“The Hitodama” – a family of lesser nobility in the far-east holding their small share of territory on the island of Koshu – and the family Yomi claims to belong to. Known to be reclusive and sheltered from the world, rumors have spread from the northern province they hold, claiming that seeking the village out is a futile effort, thanks to the mists surrounding the valley. Belonging to nobility, it is entirely possible that your character has heard of the Hitodama – and their uncanny reputation and curses.•“Itako, Sightlees Seer” – Yomi, due to her lack of sight and by decree of her family, spent most of her childhood training to become an itako – blind women adept at communing with the kami, and spirits of the dead. If you find yourself troubled by any of the aforementioned, or wish to seek spiritual guidance, cleansing, blessings or healing, Yomi is available.•“It's Okay, I Wouldn't Remember Me Either” – People seem to have a hard time remembering Yomi, or noticing her in the first place. The merchant hawking his wares spares not a second glance as she passes by, the dogs in the yard not bothering to lift their heads... In the same way that she sneaks up without a sound, she's left - without so much as stirring the grass in her wake. As soon as she's left, your memory of her face becomes blurred, the outlines of her frame threatening to slip your mind.
In addition to the hooks above, I'm open to all and any suggestions! The aforementioned hooks are simply suggestions on my part, and if you have any of your own I'm more than willing to lend an ear. My contact information can be found below the "ooc" tab.

in-game • yomi hitodamaI will play mature content and themes (violence, sexuality, drug / alcohol use) as long as they're logical in a plot-driven encounter. Coarse and excessive language. Temporary injury and incapacitation. Temporary imprisonment. Most walk-up encounters.Ask about long-term and/or permanent injury and disfigurement. Long-term captivity or imprisonment.I won't play permanent character death or rape plots.•My preferred avenue of roleplay falls within the boundaries of lore, and I'm as such not looking for roleplay that includes NPCs such as the scions, the warrior of light or extremely lore-breaking characters. This is not to discriminate against anyone's preferred RP, it just isn't what I'm personally interested in writing at the moment.I, myself, roleplay Yomi with the understanding that some of her story might be considered "controversial" as it falls in the particular grey-zone of what isn't directly disputed or directly covered by lore, but always strive to convey these themes in a believable fashion with story-telling at the forefront of my intentions.
